Public Outreach Since its creation in March 2001, Orient Land Trust has produced a semi-annual newsletter distributed to several thousand people by mail and to many more by internet. Its purpose is to educate potential supporters regarding its mission, proposed activities and goals and to encourage them to become supporting members of Orient Land Trust. The Orient Land Trust web site, Land Trust Alliance membership and Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts membership are very effective tools for public outreach. In addition, the on-site Welcome Center presents information to acquaint all visitors with the existence of Orient Land Trust and its mission and goals. Orient Land Trust will continue to send out regular mailings to all persons who have an interest in the continued preservation of these lands. The web site will expand its outreach to those who are not aware of the unique natural and historical features of Orient Land Trust lands. |
