Food Service

We do not have a restaurant or food service. The nearest restaurants and grocery store are in Villa Grove, twelve miles away.  The Welcome Center has beverages and snacks for sale, as well as complimentary oatmeal, coffee, tea and hot cocoa.  You should bring your own food to cook.  Campers can of course cook at their campsite.  The communal lodge - Oak House - has a public kitchen.  The larger cabins - Elm, Willow and Cottonwood - have kitchenettes.  The smaller cabins - Aspen and Cedar - may use the kitchen in Oak House.  The Sunset Rooms share a full sized kitchen.  All kitchen facilities in the buildings are equipped with basic dishes, pots, pans and utensils.  Ice is free at the Welcome Center.

One thing you don't need to bring is bottled water to drink.  Our spring water is sweet, clean and pure, no chemicals added - in short, it is better than what you buy in the store because it hasn't sat on a shelf for months or years - it's fresh from the mountain! However, you do need to bring your own containers to fill with our good water to enjoy.
